Intro

Horry County Emergency Management is responsible for developing emergency response plans and taking a lead role in the coordination of those plans during an emergency. Emergency Management employees work closely with state and local officials to gather resources necessary to overcome a disaster or emergency situation. Our employees train for many types of disasters but hurricanes are a primary concern due to our coastal location.
